Courses of Study: Process Operations

My name is Geralene Narine, and I completed the Diploma in Oil and Gas – Process Operations (PT66) at the Kenson School of Production and Technology Limited (KSPTL) in 2025.

My experience at KSPTL means a lot to me because it was a major step in shaping my future where the journey was both challenging and rewarding in the best way. From the start, the teaching quality stood out. My lecturer, Mr. Collette was not only highly knowledgeable but brought real industry insight into the classroom because of his work experience in the industry. He helped me understand how what I was learning connected to the actual world of
work and not just textbooks and PowerPoints. I always felt comfortable asking questions, and he never made me feel like my question wasn’t important. He was patient, supportive, motivating, and always willing to help, even outside of class time when I needed extra guidance.

The classroom environment was very interactive, which made learning more engaging. Each student was encouraged to participate in activities and discussions, and there was a strong sense that our input mattered. We were free to speak and ask for clarification at any time. That open atmosphere really helped build my confidence, especially with technical topics.

When classes transitioned between physical and online learning, the change felt smooth. My lecturer made sure we stayed involved and the quality of teaching remained consistent. Even in the online setting, we still had opportunities to participate and stay connected to the learning process.

Overall, I truly feel that this institution prepared me for the world of work as I gained not only technical knowledge, but also confidence, discipline, and a clearer understanding of the oil and gas industry. My time there helped me grow both personally and professionally, and I am grateful for the foundation it gave me.

I would sincerely recommend Kenson School of Production and Technology Limited to anyone who is serious about building a career in the oil and gas field.
